Not the most original topic in this world, in fact this is one of the most discussed topics, I was just curious to know what others feel...Is pure friendship possible between a boy and a girl or is there always some gender tension between them? I am not saying just friends, but best friends...they share secrets, care and understand each other...Is it true that however good friends they may be, one of them or at times both end up falling for each other...
Can there not be a boy and a girl who are there for each other when ever they need their best friend without being tagged as lovers by the stupid people around??? Why is it an issue when a girl and a boy claim to be each other's best friends...they have the same affection and care for each other the way a best friend from same gender would have...
There are so many movies that have thrown light on this topic...in 99% of those the boy and the girl end up entering a romantic relationship...Movies that show the Girl-Boy friendship...just friendship are rare which in turn makes this very thing unacceptable in a country like ours where movies too play a great role in controlling the mind set....

It depends on the public view on the relationship b/w a boy & a girl ...due to the less exposure , even though if they were friends, thy are called as some thing more than that :P

mabbe few of them at least 60 to 70% fall in love da,but a friendly relationship between a boy and a girl should be always their and healthy one :D,keep posting like these da :D
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience in India, Europe and the US, its impossible for a boy and girl to have a platonic relationship without it developing into something more, unless one or more of the following conditions are met:
ReplyDelete- one or both of them are in a long-term committed relationship
- neither of them finds the other physically attractive
- they and their families are so close that they treat each other like cousins/siblings
This does not mean that a boy and a girl cannot be best friends, its just that they should be able to deal with it when the relationship becomes more than friendship. What is falling in love ? Caring for someone, wanting to spend time with them....so when its already a person you care about and like, taking the next step is easy and very natural.

i had a gal bff.... but u cant trust ur friendship very much.... they tend to change...not reliable.... esp when ur bff makes a bf they wud definitely change... wateva u tel ur bff wud go to her bf too... no privacy... and u may end up as a laughing stock!!.... go for a bff of opposite gender only if thr r other factors like family relations etc ...otherwise it can ditch u anytime!!
