No its not funny

I hate bullying! oh yea i said the content out. This is a post to vent out my rage and irritation that is due to the people who think it is their right to play with others emotions buy Bullying them! yea right that's the word of the article 'BULLYING'. People who do it find it funny, they feel it is a fun activity but fail to understand how badly it might hurt others. They are the most inhumane people who deserve no respect in my opinion.

Having fun does not mean insulting someone. If you can not find a way to keep yourself happy without digging a hole into someones heart with your hot iron drills made of poky words then there is certainly something wrong with you, your life! Who knows, may be you don't have a life! May be that is how you conceal your boring life from the world and try to look cool in the process. I wish people understood that fun happens to lie in spreading it around by infecting people with smile, by spreading happiness and not by making a laughing stock out of people who mean no harm to anyone. They are soft to you does not mean they are weak. They probably have better things in life to pursue than do to you what you are doing to them. Is all the negativity worth the like minded bully friends you get to join hands with to target more innocent souls due to this? Can we realize that, that is all is left at the end! a generation of bullies which is only going to make the world worse...

It hurts to see that today we have reached a point where people are often busy bringing others down to lift themselves up instead of trying to work on their skills to rise up. Can we as a whole try to at least teach our next generation the seriousness of this issue and make them a bully free generation? Make them understand how bad it is to be going through all that so that they don't even attempt to put someone in that situation...It is not as simple an issue as it looks, it is a huge responsibility as it can alter the whole personality of a person in a very negative way, specially for kids if they go through this filth at a tender age they might never forget the trauma faced and this will either make them a bully who in turn will be revengeful about it and hurt others or will be afraid to open up because of the fear of being harassed.

So, please spread love and stop criticizing, judging, bullying people for your pleasure!!!!!

Finding happiness! :)

It was during the cold grey days that you splashed bright colors and sunshine on me, gradually gave way to happiness that i had almost forgotten to feel, you made me dance and sing again. You made me laugh at my mistakes again, you made me dance and sing again. Just when I thought there is no other direction where life can turn towards you gave way to an all new world, a world that was waiting to see me happy and smiling...a world that made me believe i should stop over analyzing things and embrace the beauty of things around me.
My sleeping soul was awakened when you crossed me like a cool breeze of a winter morning. You touched my heart and it smiled sticking together all the broken pieces. This is what my heart had always yearned for..love, compassion and warmth... You know my heart has always been a sucker for these mystical feelings so it just embraced everything with open arms. A lovely dream was building up, everything around me was magical. My heart grew fonder as it got to know you more and more.It started skipping a beat when ever it came across anything remotely related to you.

So now who are you? My heart wondered... Who could bring all the happiness it had forgotten about...Who could charge it up again like it was earlier? My heart started looking for answers here and there and got to know it was that little girl who was still alive inside the heart, who had refused to grow up as a gloomy young lady, who still had the funny, naughty instincts alive... It was my own young self that was still stuck in the nook and corners of my heart that brought about the brighter side of mine after a doomed phase.... That brightness was so strong that it refused to fade away... The day i realized this truth i decided that there is no one other than me who can control my moods, my happiness, sorrow... Never ever will there be shady clouds, even if it rains, I'll dance it off till its sunny like a pro. ;)

If life was like a fairy tale...

If life was a fairy tale,

  • There would be no worries and tension
  • What ever happens would be picture perfect
  • No need to worry about messing up as the end would always be good
  • There would be a prince charming who would come on a horse for me
  • I would be the princess of my story.
But,
  • Everything would become too predictable.
  • No struggle hence everything would be too attainable and easy....everything would lose its value very soon.
  • They say even an ECG needs to go up and down to show you are alive......only ups in your life would make it worthless...some downs are necessary to make u learn certain lessons.

Satyamev Jayate- An attempt to improve the nation

Satyamev Jayate-The golden words, our nation's motto meaning Truth Alone Triumphs.
It is also the name of a new show by actor Aamir Khan which is aired on Star Plus. Started with an aim to build a better future for the nation. With each episode they would take up one social evil in our nation that is proving to be cancerous to the nation's development so that we the people of India can join hands to eradicate it and make out nation healthy and prosperous. A good thought indeed....we needed a kick start to check the evil in our country! May be this is that start.

So what all are the problems we are facing?? Is the government, corrupt politicians alone responsible for everything? Think again...

Giving tips to a peon just because he helped u get a form at a government office, offering a Rs100 note to the traffic police when caught without a license, students cheating in exams and teacher helping the students do that just because they have taken money to do that...aren't these crimes?? May be small but they certainly are...a cancer only develops slowly, step by step and these small mistakes which are often over looked by us are the stepping stones that help corruption grow...

Social evils that still prevail though we claim to be a modern nation and claim to be a progressive society...There are still girls in our villages for whom their mother's womb itself becomes their graves, and if they unfortunately are not killed, they are brutally murdered even before they can open their eyes to see the world...and others who are even more unfortunate are married off at the age when they are supposed to be playing...Now why am I using the term unfortunate each time...it is because their life is worse than death...
Its shocking to see that these monsters as they should be called, don't even feel guilty for their deeds. All this is happening in a country where a woman of the family is supposed to be considered as the Goddess's incarnation, they are instead seen as a bane to the family and are murdered...

So how are we supposed to stop all these things? It is not possible until and unless we the youth of the nation join hands and each and everyone of us does something to eradicate the infection that is decaying the country's prosperity. Our country is not going to be a better place by just claiming to support big leaders like Anna Hazare or joining anti-corruption groups on social networking sites...It needs an awakening amongst youth...so that they wake up from their sleep and see the decaying nation and do something for its cure...

U may ask if this post is going to help us fight corruption and other evils...It obviously won't cause any mass change but I think I can change the thinking of at least 1 of 10 people who read it and if I am able to then I would feel I have done something for my country...

This show is all about that...spreading awareness and consolidate the efforts of the youth who are willing to contribute their efforts for the nation's betterment. No one can assure if it'll cause any change but if used wisely this can prove to be a very good start to put an end to everything that is taking our nation away from growth and prosperity.

May not be a very well written post but I am sure it carries the views I wanted to share very effectively.

Jai Hind!

How they inspired me....

Our Inspiration, as soon as we are asked about it we usually think of famous personalities who have achieved great things in life and we all want to reach where they are now. I am no exception to this, but this post is a little different. Its about my cute cartoon friends with whom i grew up, and indeed they inspired me a lot, Taught me to live life my way and many more things....

1990s, the days of nice, intelligent, inspiring cartoons would definitely never return. The quality of cartoons today is not even 1% of what we had in our childhood. All that the kids these days are learning is mocking others, using foul language, and all those things that they are not supposed to learn at their age. Numerous were the characters and each one had a different lesson to teach....

Let me begin with Jasmine...my favorite...the dusky princess...free-spirited, the rebellious princess. Dusky complexion, big brown eyes and long black hair tied in a pony tail. She was clever and longed for freedom that she didn't have as a princess until she met Aladdin. She could fight huge, strong men, pole vault across a rooftop.
She taught me to remain all girly, along with being brave, courageous enough to take risks.

Second of my list is Bubbles, The chirpy little blue girl of the three famous little girls of nineties. The baby of the group, at times loud, too innocent but very optimistic and always happy!!

Scooby doo: Taught me never to be afraid of accepting that you are afraid...and face your fear no matter what, even if it is for a Scooby-Snack ;)

Tom and Jerry: Taught me the meaning of "I hate you coz i love you" Kind of relationship... They taught me that there will be people in your life with whom you'll fight day and night, never agree on any point but cant stay away either, so treasure them, even if it just for the sake of fighting endlessly life long...

Chip and dale: Taught me that size doesn't matter. You don't need to be huge to do great things and have fun in life.

Dexter and dee dee: Not very different from Tom and jerry, Its the typical brother sister relationship...Dexter hates dee dee as she spoils his experiments but they can never stay away from each other for long.

Samurai Jack: Every time he almost reached his goal was sent away from that goal by the demon Aku. He taught me to try and try till I succeeded, considering each failure as a lesson.

Richie rich: Friends are important, money and status doesn't matter in friendship.....he may be the owner of the rich mansion but is modest and helpful. He taught me not to be proud of anything that you have as biggest wealth is not money but good relations.

Bugs Bunny: Smart bunny, always tension free, cool and very active. Some people might call him disrespectful, sarcastic, rude.  This super star of looney toones is considered to be the most intelligent of all the cartoon characters. Taught me to do smart work, that no experience is wasted, know when to act, rise to the challenge. (I guess i still learn to apply these lessons in my life)

There are many more, will add them here when i recall....it has been a long time since i watched some good cartoon hence i have left out many characters.

Dear seniors,

Its strange how you get close and emotionally attached to some people in a very less time and then comes a time when you have to say goodbye to them with a heavy heart.

Time when all hearts are filled with the pain of separating from their loved ones, classmates with whom they spent 4 long years...it is the end of B.Tech for our seniors...the four lovely years of college end leaving behind happy and sad memories that i am sure would continue to live in each of their hearts.

I unfortunately could never interact much with the seniors...reasons- The huge batch of 400 seniors, my fear of facing my seniors which i still haven't overcome and I am now the senior most batch in my college :( . My first interaction with the seniors was in our fresher's day party...Awesome party it was...they came across as warm and wonderful people who had taken care of each and everything for our enjoyment and that showed how hard they had worked to break the ice between us freshers and the seniors. I guess there was no or very little interaction after that.

Then came Sangathan 2011!!! The annual sports meet of our college...and i got an opportunity to interact with so many seniors....The all day long practices although tiring were fun filled and also got us closer, The five day tour to noida that has given all of us some of the most wonderful times of our life that we all would cherish always. Gave me a big sis Sammy di :) :* . The tour not only introduced us as seniors and juniors but as very good buddies who had spent some of the most happy days of their life together....I wish those days returned. the same noida masti, dominos singles, the kulfi party, the wild wild hostel life of five days!!!

All of you are stepping into next phase of your life, May you have a happy and a prosperous life ahead.

Dear seniors u'll be missed always....Love you :)

Change!!

CHANGE- The only thing that doesn't change. It is the law of nature, Seasons change, trends change, fashion and style changes, technology changes and so do people. No one can ever deny the fact that their nature, behavior, thinking and everything continues to change day by day...throughout their lifetime...

Some changes are good...others are lessons that we learn...

When in a group people begin to change everything is fine till they all change with time at the same pace, and tend to move towards same direction...but when their paths begin to diverge automatically they move away from each other, and if they don't do that on their own their relationships fall apart on a sad note...But, this isn't the end. Everyone on their changed path meets someone new...the process continues...

Lucky are those people whose paths remain the same through out their life, and those are the unlucky ones who out of fear of losing someone or being left alone change their path according to others and at a point they realize their mistake but its already too late...they regret not having lived their life their way...
